Régis Mengus is a French baritone trained at the Metz Conservatory under Juan-Carlos Moralès. Spotted early on, he made his debut at the Opéra de Metz in roles such as Zurga (Les Pêcheurs de Perles) and Malatesta (Don Pasquale). His career quickly brought him to major French stages including Tours, Lille, Caen, Saint-Étienne, Strasbourg, and Marseille, as well as Lausanne and Montpellier, where he performed Danilo, Marcello, and the Husband in Les Mamelles de Tirésias.
He later expanded his repertoire with Valentin (Faust), Sharpless (Madama Butterfly), Escamillo (Carmen), Hamlet, as well
as Werther and Eugene Onegin. Invited by prestigious houses, he has appeared at the Paris National Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Glyndebourne Festival, and the Teatro San Carlo in Naples.
Recent highlights include Carmen at the Opéra du Rhin, A Quiet Place in Paris, Mireille in Metz, and Manon at the Paris National Opera, where he performed the role of Monsieur de Brétigny.
