Laura Vila, mezzo-soprano born in Vic (Barcelona), holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and a Higher Degree in Singing from the Conservatori del Liceu. She began her professional career after winning the Mirna Lacambra competition, performing as Dorabella in Così fan tutte with the Fundació Òpera Catalunya, with whom she regularly collaborates in productions such as Aida, Don Carlo, Norma, Il trovatore, Carmen, among others.
She has performed in venues such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu (La traviata, Carmen, Suor Angelica, Rigoletto, Benjamin a Portbou), Teatro Real (Moses und Aron, El abrecartas, La Regenta, Tejas verdes), ABAO Bilbao, Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, Teatro Colón in A Coruña, Auditorio Nacional de Música, Festival de Peralada, and others.
Internationally, she has sung Carmen in China (Nanjing and Shanghai), Azucena in Estonia, Maddalena in Belgium, and has collaborated with the Cascais Symphony Orchestra (Portugal).
Her repertoire includes roles such as Amneris, Èboli, Adalgisa, Isabella, Orfeo, Suzuki, Giovanna Seymour, as well as zarzuela and contemporary opera roles, participating in several world premieres such as El abrecartas (Luis de Pablo), La Regenta (Marisa Manchado), Tejas verdes (Jesús Torres), and Benjamin a Portbou (Antoni Ros-Marbà).
