Sona Gogyan, a soprano of Armenian origin, began her musical education at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Valencia and continued her training at the Higher School of Music in Madrid. She refined her artistry through masterclasses with distinguished figures including Yolanda Auyanet, Miquel Ortega, and Ofelia Sala, and participated in the International Zarzuela Studio alongside Aquiles Machado and Vincenzo Spatola.

In 2025, she joined the Advanced Training Academy at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, where she studied with Francesco Meli and Serena Gamberoni, and received masterclasses from renowned figures such as Patricia Ciofi, Francisco Araiza, Vittorio Terranova, Roberto de Candia, and Francesca Sassu. That same year, Sona Gogyan made a significant impact by performing the role of Sandrina in Manuel García’s Un avvertimento ai gelosi at the Teatro della Gioventù in Genoa. She subsequently made her debut as the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte in a major Teatro Carlo Felice production, under the musical direction of Giancarlo Andretta and staging by Daniele Abbado.

Most recently, she was featured in the central production of the Bajada de la Virgen in Santa Cruz de La Palma, interpreting the role of Carolina in Luisa Fernanda. Her repertoire also includes the role of Rosaura in the zarzuela Los Gavilanes, and she has appeared as the soprano soloist in Carmina Burana. Sona Gogyan frequently offers recitals and concerts in specialized cycles and institutions, and has participated in the New Year’s Concert in Gijón (Teatro Jovellanos).

Her achievements have been recognized with significant awards, including First Prize ex aequo and the Special Prize from the Teatro de la Zarzuela at the Valleseco International Zarzuela Competition. She also received the Amigos de la Ópera de Madrid Prize at the Ciudad de Logroño International Singing Competition.
