Anna Farrés, soprano from Terrassa, Barcelona. She ended her professional singing degree at Conservatori Municipal de Música de Terrassa, where she obtained a first prize as a soloist instrument and ended with a singing honor degree award for her studies. During her studies, she did several roles as a soloist, such as: Contessa Le Nozze di Figaro, Apollonia La Cantarina and Rosina La Finta Semplice.
Beginning her professional path, she had a scholarship in 2015 at The Sabadell’s Opera choir, at Fundació Òpera Catalunya, Le Nozze di Figaro, Otello, Madame Butterfly, Goyescas, Manon Lescaut, Carmen, Don Carlo, Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, Falstaff, Tosca and Aida. In 2018 she entered The Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona as a choir member L’Enigma di Lea, Hamlet, la Gioconda, Tosca, Luisa Miller, Turandot, Aida, La Bohème, Lucia di Lammermoor, My Fair Lady and concert with Javier Camarena in Peralada.
Related to her prizes and awards, she won the competition XXII Concurs Mirna Lacambra and interpreted Alice Ford Falstaff, with the FOC in Sabadell.
Furthermore, she did the roles: Eleonora in Il Convito with Òpera Jove, Second woman in Dido&Aeneas, Königin der nacht in Die Zauberflöte at the Palau de la Música Catalana with Novaria Artists, Zerlina in Don Giovanni with Òpera Terrassa, Giovanna in Rigoletto with The Fundació Òpera Catalunya, going on a tour in Catalonia and in Santander. She also perfomed the absolute première of the contemporary works: Noia in La Tempesta Esvaïda/J.Serra, Referred to la zarzuela she performed: Antonelli in Dúo de la Africana at The Temporada Lírica de Calella and with Milnotes company in Granollers, Raquel in La Corte de Faraón on a Spanish tour also with Milnotes.
Currently, she studies with the Italian soprano Giovanna di Rocco and the pianist Josep Buforn.
She is part of the directive board in Terrassa’s opera and is managing musical formations. Next projects are: Lucy The Telephone/Menotti a self-production and Musetta La Bohème thanks to a performing grant by Terrassa Crea with Òpera Terrassa.
She also continues her language improvement: she can communicate in 6 languages (English, Italian, German, French, Spanish and Catalan).
