He began his musical studies at the age of eight, taking up the clarinet at the conservatory of his hometown, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, before continuing his education at the “Joaquín Villatoro” Conservatory in Jerez de la Frontera. In addition to his artistic training, he holds a degree in Political Science and Sociology from Pablo de Olavide University in Seville.
At 23, he embarked on vocal studies with bass Francisco Crespo, later refining his artistry under the guidance of celebrated singers such as Vladimir Chernov, Yolanda Auyanet, Jacques Imbrailo, and Ildebrando D’Arcangelo. He has also received invaluable coaching from distinguished pianists and repertoire specialists, among them Stanislav Angelov, Carmen Santoro, and Giulio Zappa, with whom he has worked since 2023. Since January 2024, he has continued his vocal development with renowned bass-baritone Carlos Chausson.
He has appeared under the baton and stage direction of acclaimed conductors and directors, including Toby Purser, Daniel Gil de Tejada, Lucía Marín, Santiago Serrate, Alessandro Palumbo, Daniele Menghini, Alejandro Abrante, Trijueque Pelagajar, and the innovative collective Agrupación Señor Serrano.
He has been awarded the “Set Portes” and “Tenor Raúl Giménez” prizes at the Josep Palet Singing Competition and has been a finalist in prestigious contests such as Nuevas Voces de Sevilla and Voci in Barcaccia (RAI3). He was also selected for the third edition of CRESCENDO, the young artist program of the Friends of Teatro Real Foundation.
His operatic repertoire includes notable appearances as Guglielmo (Così fan tutte) at the Musikverein in Vienna, Il Commendatore (Don Giovanni) with Òpera Catalunya, and the Marchese d’Obigny (La Traviata) in Extremadura. In recent seasons, he has debuted as Frère Laurent in Roméo et Juliette (Òpera Catalunya), King Balthazar in Amahl and the Night Visitors (Teatro Real), and Lodovico in Verdi’s Otello (Riojaforum). Highlights of the current season include performances as Le Fauteuil/L’Arbre in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges (Real Teatro de Retiro), Escamillo in Carmen (Teatre Principal Alacant), Colline in La Bohème (Temporada Lírica de Granada) and Alidoro (Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada).
