Summer 2022 featured Taxiarchoula Kanati’s debut at the Salzburger Festspiele as Sibylle in Carl Orff’s “De Temporum Fine Comoedia”, under the baton of Teodor Currentzis and directed by Romeo Castellucci. Ms. Kanati made her debut as Mezzo with the roles of Dido, Carmen, Charlotte, Composer, Orlofsky.

Ms. Kanati made her first appearance as Soprano in March 2024 as Ortlinde in “Die Walküre” at Greek National Opera, a production conducted by Roland Kluttig.

In the field of contemporary music, Ms Kanati was invited by the composer Jochen Neurath to give the world premiere of his dramatic song-cycle “Tears”, in a concert with Wagner’s Wesendonck-Lieder at the Richard-Wagner-Association in Bamberg. She also made further concert appearances in Germany, France, Denmark, Norway, Estonia, Russia.

Taxiarchoula Kanati was finalist of the National Competition 2016 in Berlin, awarded the “UNESCO Youth International Song – Orchestra Contest in the category of Classical Song” and as a finalist of the 28th International Competition “Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg 2018” she was awarded a role in the world premiere of a new Faust opera by Aurel Floros for the Chamber Opera Festival at Rheinsberg.
