Álvaro Diana

General Management

Born in 1997 in Valencia, Spain, the young Valencian tenor began his studies at the Conservatory of Music of Valencia, currently perfecting his technique with baritone and maestro David Menéndez.

 

He is selected to join the Opera Studio of the famous Opernhaus Zürich in the season 2024-2025 where he will debut roles in Un Ballo in Maschera, Manon Lescaut, Life with and Idiot, Die Tote Stadt or Salomè, under the baton of renowned masters; J. Stockhammer, G. Noseda, M. Armiliato, L. Viotti or S. Young.

 

Among his interpreted roles are Alfredo in La Traviata, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, Belfiore in Il Viaggio a Reims, Don Basilio in The Marriage of Figaro, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Ferrando in Cosí Fan Tutte or Prince Charmant in Cendrillon.

 

He debuted in theaters such as Palau de les Arts, Palau de la Música de València, Teatro Circo de Albacete, Auditorio de Huesca or Festival Cullerarts, among others, conducted by Cristóbal Soler, Asier Puga, Joan Font or Pablo Marqués.

 

The tenor is awarded with several prizes throughout his career; First prize and Audience Award in the X Certamen de Solistas de Habaneras, Prize to the best tenor José Ferrero in the VII Concurso Ciudad de Albacete, Second prize in the Concurso internacional de canto de Tomelloso and Third prize in the XI Concurs Ciutat de Balaguer.

 

He has received masterclasses and advice from artists such as Ramón Vargas, Isabel Rey, Stanislav Angelov, Giovanni Sala, Emilio Sagi, Saimir Pirgu, Cristina Faus and Aurelio Viribay.
