Guillem Batllori

General Management

Guillem Batllori was born in Palamós (Girona). He studied with soprano Dolors Aldea and also had the opportunity to work with many internationally renowned musicians such as Sigiswald Kuijken, Eva Marton, Carlos Álvarez, Joan Pons, Erik Halfvarson and Carlos Chausson. He is currently continuing role studies with dramatic soprano Cynthia Jacoby-Deventer in Germany.


During the seasons 2019-2022 he was the baritone soloist of the “Operastudio Niederrhein” of the Theater Krefeld-Mönchengladbach (Germany) where he debuted the roles of Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Sprecher / 1.Priester / 2.Geharnischter Mann (Die Zauberflöte), Thierry / 2.Komissar (Dialogues des Carmélites), Mitjucha (Boris Godunov) and many others in the main stage productions of the theater.

 

He has also made his debut as Ford (Falstaff) at the Amics de l’Òpera de Sabadell, having sung Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte) there and then at the summer festival Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg (Germany) and more recently at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam with the orchestra La Petite Bande. He has sung Marchese Duphol (La Traviata) at the Festival Castell de Peralada, as well as the role of Marcello in La Bohème.


In 2023 he won the 1st prize in the Mirabent i Magrans singing competition in Sitges. This last year he made his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu playing Liberto and the 2nd soldier in L’incoronazione di Poppea and Lepidus in the opera Antony and Cleopatra by John Adams, as well as at the Palau de la Música Catalana singing Beethoven‘s 9th Symphony, Fauré‘s Requiem and more recently the St. Matthew Passion by J.S.Bach.
