Enric has studied singing and orchestral conducting at the Musikhochschule Heidelberg Mannheim and with great masters like Gerard Souzay, Dalton Baldwin, Gerd Türk, Ulrich Eisenlohr, Paul Schilhawsky, Carlos Chausson, Wolfram Rieger, Klaus Arp, Riccardo Frizza and Eric Ericson.
Considered by the Spanish Magazine Ópera Actual “an artist with great interpretative skills”, many international theatres have requested his presence since his debut in La Bohéme at the Budapest Royal Opera. He has sung in some of the best international opera houses. His work within the Janacek’s Cycle at Opera National du Rhin-Strasbourg and Teatro Fenice-Venice with Robert Carsen, his engagement working with David McVicar in Agrippina or with Laurent Pelly in Viva la Mamma at Opéra de Lyon and Grand Thèâtre de Genéve, notice that the most important stage directors of the moment want to work with him. In addition Teatro Real, Ópera de Oviedo, ABAO-Bilbao or Gran Teatre del Liceu are normally in his schedule.
His performances of Lescaut, Manon Lescaut, Marcello, La Boheme, Malatesta, Don Pasquale, Bartolo, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Taddeo, L’Italiana in Algeri, Dulcamara, L’elisir d’Amore or Dr. Kolenaty, Vec Makropulos, have been praised by audiences and critics for his vocal and performing qualities as well as his excellent acting.
His concert activity is very intense too, performing in great festivals, Orchestras and Concert Halls like Graz Styriarte, Auditorio Nacional – Madrid, Auditorio de Galicia, Peralada International Festival, International Festival of Granada.
Considered one of the best Spanish lieder singers, has given many recitals accompanied among others by Dalton Baldwin or Ulrich Eisenlohr in concert halls like Suntory Hall-Tokyo, Palau de la Música Catalana de Barcelona, l’Auditori de Barcelona or Palais de Beaux-Arts. Winterreise Op.89, Schwanengesang D. 957 (F. Schubert), or Dichterliebe Op.48 (R. Schumann) are some of his regular concert programs.
He was nominated for the Grammy Awards and he got the “Best Artist of the year award” in 2013.
